Program Description

一道本不卡免费高清The Master of Science in Organizational Management (MSOM) is an interdisciplinary degree program designed to meet the needs of working supervisors and mid-level managers. Graduates of the program become more effective managers and leaders, contributing to the success of their organizations and enhancing their own career opportunities.

Courses typically meet in the evenings once a week and are sequenced so that students can complete the program in two years. Classes meet in-person, face-to-face, on Eastern's beautiful campus. Parking is easy and close to classrooms. Classes take full advantage of Blackboard, Eastern's online course delivery system, to provide assignments, discussion boards, links to resources, and other course materials.

Classes are small (typically about 10 students) and highly interactive. Sharing and reflecting on work experience with classmates is integral to the MSOM educational experience. Students develop new friendships and professional contacts that continue many years after graduation.

The MSOM program is focused on understanding and mastering the dynamics of complex organizations. Courses cover individual behavior, group dynamics, organizational processes and structure and effective organizational communication. Faculty are drawn from Eastern's Business Administration, Psychology, and Communication Departments.

  • 一道本不卡免费高清The 30-credit program includes 5 core courses and 5 electives, drawn from the disciplines of Organizational Management, Business Administration, Communication, and Psychology. Students interested in pursuing a PhD after completing our program are encouraged to complete a thesis in place of two of the electives.

    Graduate Plan of Study

  • Eastern's MSOM admission is offered on a limited, competitive basis; no more than 25 students will be admitted per semester. All applicants must provide evidence of a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2.7 GPA, contact information for two individuals who can serve as professional or academic references, and evidence of full-time work experience. These three elements must demonstrate that the student has professional promise and ability to do graduate-level study. For additional information about application procedures.
